Unified State Exam assessment
Last year, to pass the Unified State Exam in computer science with at least a C, it was enough to score 42 primary points. They were given, for example, for correctly completing the first 9 tasks of the test.
It is not yet known exactly what will happen in 2019: we need to wait for the official order from Rosobrnadzor on the correspondence of primary and test scores. Most likely it will appear in December. Considering that the maximum primary score for the entire test remains the same, most likely the minimum score will not change either. Structure of the Unified State Exam test
Computer science is the longest exam (the Unified State Examination in mathematics and literature is the same length), lasting 4 hours.
In 2019, the test consists of two parts, including 27 tasks.
- Part 1: 23 tasks (1–23) with a short answer, which is a number, a sequence of letters or numbers.
- Part 2: 4 tasks (24–27) with detailed answers, complete solutions to the tasks are written down on answer sheet 2.
All tasks are connected in one way or another with a computer, but during the exam you are not allowed to use it to write a program in group C problems. In addition, the problems do not require complex mathematical calculations and the use of a calculator is also not allowed.

Despite the generally standard form of the examination, the details of its organization vary somewhat from year to year. The review of these details is the responsibility of Rosobrnadzor, which analyzes the results of tests conducted in previous years and clarifies the procedure for conducting them next year in order to provide students with exam conditions that allow them to demonstrate the knowledge acquired over the years of study to the maximum. In each specific year, the rules for conducting the Unified State Examination, including the list of examination subjects, the time allotted for writing the exam for each of them, and other parameters, are approved by a special order.
Duration of the Unified State Exam
The total length of time allotted for completing the tasks of the unified state exam in a specific subject is also determined by Rosobrnadzor depending on several factors, for example, the complexity of the exam tasks, the total amount of material that the student needs to know in order to successfully pass the exam, and others. At the same time, the length of time for the Unified State Examination includes only the time spent working on tasks: preliminary instructions, opening envelopes with texts and other preparatory procedures are not taken into account in the total duration of the exam.The time allocated for writing different exams may vary significantly. Thus, in 2014, the shortest period of time, amounting to only three hours, that is, 180 minutes, was allocated for completing Unified State Examination tasks in such subjects as biology, geography, chemistry and foreign languages. Thus, all subjects falling under this category were elective subjects taken by the students.
In 2014, 3.5 hours, that is, 210 minutes, were allocated for completing assignments in one of the compulsory subjects - the Russian language, as well as for writing exams in history and social studies. Moreover, in the category of the longest exams, the duration of which was 235 minutes, one of the compulsory subjects was also mathematics, and along with it - physics, computer science and literature. It is worth noting that previously the time allotted for completing assignments in these subjects was 240 minutes, but in 2012 Rosobrnadzor decided to reduce this period of time by 5 minutes due to sanitary standards and regulations.

How long will the Unified State Exam last and what can be taken for it?
The draft order “On approval of the terms and unified schedule for conducting the unified state exam, its duration for each general education subject, the list of additional devices and materials the use of which is permitted at the unified state exam in certain general education subjects in 2012” was published on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Science. In previous years, the function of determining the organizational aspects of conducting the Unified State Exam belonged to Rosobrnadzor, but this year for the first time these powers were assumed by the ministry itself.
According to the document, eleventh-graders will begin taking the Unified State Exam early in the second half of April. April 20 - Russian language, April 23 - foreign languages, geography, chemistry and history, April 26 - mathematics. And if last year the early period ended at the end of April, then this year several exams fall on the May holidays. Computer science and information and communication technologies (ICT), biology, social studies, literature, and physics are scheduled for May 2. May 4 has been declared a reserve day for all general education subjects for those who, for good reasons (“illness or other documented circumstances”) were unable to pass the exam on time. And also for those who have two scheduled exams on the same day.
The main wave of the Unified State Examination will take place at the usual time and will traditionally begin at the end of May. On May 28, according to the schedule, computer science and ICT, biology and history, May 31 - mathematics, June 4 - foreign languages and chemistry, June 8 - Russian language, June 13 - geography and literature, June 16 - social studies and physics. For those who missed their day for a good reason, as well as for those whose results were canceled by the state examination commission, there are four reserve days - from June 18 to 21.
Those who received a bad mark in Russian or mathematics (as before, only these subjects can be retaken in the current academic year) have five reserve days to try again: June 20 - Russian, June 21 - mathematics, July 9 - Russian language, July 12 - mathematics, and July 21 - Russian language and mathematics.
An additional period when you can take exams only if you have a good reason confirmed by a document falls at the beginning of July. As in previous years, all exams begin promptly at 10:00 local time. But in terms of their duration there are small but significant changes. For other items, the time frame has not moved. The duration of the Unified State Exam in mathematics, physics, literature, computer science and ICT is 4 hours, in history, social studies - 3.5 hours, in the Russian language, biology, geography, chemistry - 3 hours.
The list of additional devices that are allowed to be brought to a number of exams has also not changed. Like last year, you are allowed to bring only a ruler to the Unified State Examination in mathematics, a ruler and a non-programmable calculator to the physics exam, only a non-programmable calculator to the chemistry exam, and a ruler, protractor and non-programmable calculator to the geography exam.
Let us remind you that the minimum threshold for Unified State Exam scores in mathematics and the Russian language this year was announced before the start of the school year (usually this happened after passing the Unified State Exam). In the Russian language, the minimum limit is 36 test points out of 100, and in mathematics - 24 points. “Information before the start of the new school year will make it easier for children to prepare for exams,” explained the head of Rosobrnadzor, Lyubov Glebova, for such changes in current practice.
English is one of four languages that students can choose to take for the Unified State Exam. Starting from 2015, the exam consists of two parts: written and oral, which graduates will have to take on different days. To receive the maximum score, you must successfully pass the written test and the oral part of the exam. Changes in 2016 affected only the wording of the 3rd task of the oral section, as well as an increase in the passing score to 22 (last year the minimum score was 20 units). In all other parameters, testing is almost completely identical to last year’s version.
Structure of the Unified State Exam in English
The structure of the written part of the Unified State Exam in a foreign language, including English, includes four sections. 180 minutes are allotted for completing the tasks, there will be 40 tasks in total. The maximum number of points that can be received for the written part is 80.
Structure of the written exam:
1.Listening. Contains 9 tasks, in two of which you will need to establish a correspondence between the content of the text you heard and the proposed statements, and in the remaining seven you will need to choose the correct answer out of three. Recommended writing time is 30 minutes.
2.Reading. Contains 9 tasks, of which seven involve choosing the correct answer from four options, in one you will need to establish a correspondence between mini-texts and headings, and in another one you will need to fill in the gaps in the read text from the proposed passage options. Recommended writing time is 30 minutes.
3.Grammar and vocabulary. Contains 20 tasks, of which 13 provide a short answer, and the remaining 7 ask you to choose the correct answer from four options. The recommended writing time is 40 minutes.
4.Letter. Contains 2 tasks in which the student will be asked to respond to a letter (100-140 words) and write a short essay expressing a personal opinion on the proposed problem (200-250 words). Recommended execution time is 80 minutes.
Oral exam, for successful completion of which you can receive a maximum of 20 points, is carried out separately from the written one. Each student is given 15 minutes to answer, including preparation time (one and a half minutes for each task). The oral block includes 4 tasks:
1.Reading aloud a short passage of text on a popular science topic.
2. Compose five questions using keywords. Questions must be formulated after reading the proposed advertisement.
3.Description of one of the three proposed photographs based on the proposed plan.
4. Comparison of events in two photographs using the proposed plan.
Assignments are given to the student sequentially, after completing the previous one. The maximum number of points will be received by the examinee who fully completes the assigned tasks and adheres to the proposed answer plan and the topic of the task.
Preparation for the Unified State Exam in English
To successfully pass the Unified State Exam in a foreign language, a student must solve at least 17 tasks from 2 and 3 or only 3 sections of the written part. The received points are converted into a five-point scale in accordance with standard tables.
Preparation for the Unified State Exam in English should begin in advance, even if the applicant is fluent in the subject.
